Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the course and what format?

The LITTLE TALKERS™ course was designed with busy parents of little ones in mind. It is 2 hours long, but divided into short practical videos that are easy to watch during your limited free time, plus accompanying PDFs to reference when you need them.

How long do I have access to the course for?

Forever! You can access the LITTLE TALKERS™ course again and again as needed. You may not, however, share the course with other households--this may result in losing access.

What age is this course for?

More important than age is the child's current communication abilities. The course was designed for parents of babies and toddlers 0-3 years old who are not yet using words or who are using some words and you want to grow their vocabulary or help them combine words. It's also great for parents who want to be proactive and are hoping to prevent delays in the future. If your child already has a large vocabulary, likely their language is too advanced for this course.

Can I take the course if my child is already meeting milestones?

YES! The LITTLE TALKERS™ course is not just for children who are behind. The course will benefit proactive parents too. I used the strategies with both of my children who met and exceeded speech and language milestones for their age. That said, a good time to start would be before your child has words or when they have a small amount and you want to continue to grow their vocabulary. if your child already has a large vocabulary, likely their language is too advanced for this course.

How many words should my child be saying?

12 months = 1 - 5 words
18 months = 10 - 50 words
24 months = 50 - 300 words
36 months = 250 - 1000 words

What if we don't speak English at home or are raising our child bilingual / multilingual?

The strategies I teach in the LITTLE TALKERS™ course are not language-specific. What you learn can be applied in any language you speak at home and to multiple languages at once if you are bilingual or multilingual.

Is there closed captioning available?

Yes! In English and Spanish. When you get into your videos, you'll just need to click the CC icon.
